A menu-bar timer for Fibery · Coming to the Mac App Store

Time tracking that lives in Fibery.

Fibers sits in your Mac's menu bar. Pick a database, start a timer on any item, and every session is saved in your workspace as a Fibery record, linked to the work. No second tool. Nothing of ours in between.

Without JavaScript the form can't run its spam check. Email hello@getfibers.app and we'll add you by hand.

One email to confirm, one when Fibers ships, both from Fibers (Ktesio). You're off the list within 30 days of the launch email and can withdraw any time. Privacy statement. Fibers needs macOS 26 or later.

In your workspace

Stop a timer and the session appears here, as a record in your own workspace.

How it works

Three steps. No new account.

  1. 1

    Sign in with Fibery

Fibers opens your browser. You sign in on Fibery's own page and allow Fibers in, and that is the whole sign-in. There is no Fibers account to create.

The Connect Fibery step of Fibers' setup window
  2. 2

    Choose a database

Stories, Tasks, Bugs, Deals: the databases your team already works in. Fibers shows exactly what it would add, by name, and nothing is created until you approve that list.

  3. 3

    Track

Click the icon, type a few letters, press ⌘↩. The elapsed time sits in your menu bar until you stop, and the session is saved to Fibery, linked to the item.

Small on screen. Careful underneath.

Your recent items, one keystroke away

The panel opens from the menu bar with your recent items in front of you. Type to filter, ↩ to see an item's details, ⌘↩ to start a timer on it. Your nine most recent items are a keystroke away on ⌘1 to ⌘9.

Can't find it? Create the item from the same field and start tracking it right away.

A timer you can correct

Started late? Move the start back five, fifteen or thirty minutes. Forgot entirely? Add a manual entry with the exact start and end. Pause when you step away; the time so far is already saved.

The menu bar shows the elapsed time the whole way, so you never have to open anything to know where you stand.

The whole story of an item

Today, this week, this month, the last three months: a total and a chart for each, by hour, day or week. Your sessions listed and editable, and Add Entry for time you forgot to track. When you need the item itself, Open in Fibery is one click.

Nothing is created without your approval

Before Fibers touches a workspace it lists every space, database and field it would create, by name. You approve, and only then does it write. If a step can't finish, Fibers rolls back what it made, or tells you exactly what's left.

Deleted a field by accident later? Settings shows the setup needs repair, and the repair goes through the same approval.

In your workspace

Plain Fibery data, not an export.

Fibers stores time the way you'd model it yourself. Every session is a record you can query, report on, automate and share. Stop using Fibers and it's all still there.

Story

  • Time Tracked Todaynumber, in hours

Created once per workspace, after an Admin approves it: the Fibers space, with Time Session and a small Tracked Database that records which databases are set up, so every device and teammate agrees.

  • Report on it like any field. Group sessions by person or by week, add a time column to a view of your items, filter on it. It's all ordinary Fibery.
  • Yours to keep. Stop Tracking a database and you choose: hide it on this Mac, stop it for the workspace, or remove the fields too. The sessions stay.
  • Seen by the team. Sessions belong to the person who tracked them. An item's details can show everyone's time or only yours.

Privacy

Your workspace is the only backend.

Fibers has no servers. It talks to Fibery's own MCP server directly from your Mac, and keeps nothing of yours anywhere else.

  • Sign-in stays with Fibery

You sign in in your own browser, on Fibery's pages. Fibers never sees your password. The tokens it receives live in the macOS Keychain.

  • Settings stay on your Mac

Preferences, your recent items and a paused timer are saved locally, in the app's sandbox. There is no account with us, because there is no us in the loop.

  • Writes you can read first

Every change Fibers makes to your workspace's structure is listed before it happens. Fibery's own history shows what it did, and Stop Tracking can remove the fields it added to your database.

Questions

Before you ask.

Which Fibery plans does Fibers work with?

Fibers talks to Fibery through Fibery's hosted MCP server, so your workspace needs access to it. Setting up a database also asks Fibery's AI to write one formula; where AI is off or out of credits, Fibers offers to keep that total as a plain number it updates itself. We haven't confirmed yet which Fibery plans include MCP access, or whether everyday tracking uses AI credits.

Does Fibers change my existing fields?

No. It adds three fields to a database you choose to track, and once per workspace it creates a Fibers space with two small databases of its own. Your fields, views and automations are untouched. The full list is shown before anything is created.

Who can set it up?

The first setup in a workspace needs a Fibery Admin, who then shares the Fibers space with the team. Setting up a further database needs Architect access to it. Tracking time needs Editor access. Databases kept in sync by an integration aren't offered.

What if someone deletes a field Fibers made?

Settings → Databases → Check Setup in Fibery tells you what's missing, and Repair creates it again after you approve the list. Until then Fibers keeps tracking what it still can and tells you which total won't update.

Can my teammates see the time I track?

Yes, if they have access to the Fibers space. Sessions are ordinary Fibery records, so they follow your workspace's sharing. Each one records who tracked it and the name of the Mac it was tracked on. In Fibers, an item's details can show everyone's time or only yours.

Can I track two things at once?

One timer at a time, on purpose. Starting another item stops the first and saves its session, so nothing is double-counted. A pause ends a session too; resuming starts a new one on the same item.

Does it work offline?

Not yet. Fibers needs a connection to Fibery to save a session. Queuing saves while offline and sending them when you reconnect is planned.

Is there an iPhone or Windows version?

Fibers is a Mac app for macOS 26 and later, coming to the Mac App Store. An iOS app sharing the same core is planned as the second phase. Nothing is planned for Windows.

How much will it cost?

Pricing will be announced with the launch. Leave your email below and you'll hear when Fibers is on the Mac App Store.
